Chap Goh Meh

Chap Goh Meh also known as Chinese Valentine's day
it's on the fifteenth day of CNY,
which is the final day of the Lunar New Year.

On this day,
the young or unmarried man and woman can write their contact numbers on the Mandarin oranges then throw into the sea or lake ,
wishing for a good partner ,and hope that their future partner will pick it up.

From aizuddinsaad

Longevity Noodles

Every CNY mommy also got cook Longevity Noodles for us :)
Longevity Noodles also called as "Shou Mian" in chinese, and "Mee Sua" in Hokkien.
It's one of the dish must eat during CNY.

Longevity noodles get their name from their long lengths.
The longer the noodle, the longer the wish you give upon your family and friends for a long and healthy life.
And Hokkien Clan believe that eat Longevity Noodles to blessing for long life.

The proper way to eat the noodle is to not break the long noodle,
because they believe that if break the noodle would mean you are breaking your luck and chances at a long and healthy life.

Chinese people usually cook longevity noodles then served with vegetables and meats.
